Map Updates

The map is no longer “vanilla Chernarus with a few edits.” We’re building a heavily customized world new layouts, new POIs, and areas that are meant to feel like they belong to Project Ashes, not a stock server paste.
This latest pass focused on expanding industrial and military zones: reworked structures, tighter sightlines, and spaces built for PvP pressure, loot routes, and base-life decisions. If it looks empty from above, that’s intentional a lot of the danger is in what’s inside, underground, and off the main roads.
What we’re pushing toward:
• Custom points of interest that aren’t on a default loot loop
• Hidden routes, stash pockets, and alternate paths between hotspots
• Bunkers, labs, and high-risk zones tied into progression later
• A map that rewards exploration instead of autopilot running the same trail every wipe
This is still active development. Layouts, loot, and access rules can change as we test pacing and server performance. More screenshots and zone breakdowns will follow as major areas lock in.
If you’re following the build early, this is the kind of work that sets the tone for launch — a survival map that feels hand-built, not downloaded.
